Web Form Analytics:
Features & Benefits
-
Form Field Changes:
Web Form Analytics will watch your form fields and track when a user enters anything in that field. Knowing which field was the last one a user entered can help you determine what caused them to leave. For instance: It's pretty standard for there to be a delay before filling in a Credit Card field as the customer has to get their wallet out and find the card. What, though, if they have filled in their Email address and phone number allready and then never got thier Credit Card filled in? WebFormAnalytics.com can retrieve the contents of unsubmitted forms *(in a CSV that you can download). -
Mouse Clicks:
There are many times that knowing where a user clicked can help determine why they left. For instance: What if users are starting to fill out your form but then click an advertisement on the page? That is something that you can fix; just remove the ad and see your form completion improve. Another common issue that can be caught with Click metrics is validation issues. If a user makes it all the way to hitting the submit button but the page doesn't submit you can check what went wrong. Sometimes it's something as simple as form field validation that is too strict. Can you imagine missing out on a sale because someone entered their phone number in the wrong format? -
Javascript Errors:
This is another sneaky problem that can be found on your forms. There are always differences between browsers sometimes no matter how much testing is done before turning something live there are still problems found later. Having Web Form Analytics watching for javascript errors will save you from missing these errors that could be keeping your web form from working, or could be driving potential customers away. There are 2 things Web Form Analytics can do about these. The first is to log the errors so you can see the them in context with what the user was doing. The second thing it can do is keep the errors from popping up and causing ugly error messages on your site. -
Form Submission:
Here again you can find problems with your pages that may not be found any other way. Sometimes something goes wrong with a submission after the user has clicked "subimt" and it never makes it to your server. Sometimes this is because of network issues that could be fixed if someone knew about them.
* For obvious security reasons WFA will not allow tracking on password fields.
